{Daily Mom-ME Moment #57} Go For A SEXY Test Drive!

This is so fun re-living some of our favourtie Mom-ME Moments!!  Today's moment is defintienyl one of the funn-est (is that a word??!!) ones!!  Enjoy ...

So I was thinking last night ... what is one of the major changes that happen, or sacrifices that we make, when we have kids?

I’ll tell you one ...

When we have kids, we give up our cute snazzy car, and trade it in for a min-van!

Let me tell ya ... I feel SUPER SEXY driving my mini-van!! Um ... NOT!

For the Mom-ME Moment today, let’s have some fun ladies! Let’s take ourselves to a local car dealership, without kids and car seats, and let’s test drive the snazziest, sexiest car there ... just for the fun of it! 

My absolute favorite cars are the Jaguar XKR or the Aston Martin DB-9. When I have enough money, I’m going to buy myself one. It’s going to be my ‘going for lunch with the ladies’ car. It’s going to be awesome!! But for now, I’m stuck with my Toyota Sienna.

However, today I’m going to drive a sexy car! I don’t live near the city, so unfortunately, there are no Jaguar or Aston Martin dealerships around here. So I had a nice chat with my son William last night about which car I should test drive.

William loves cars. He’s an expert in them. And he loves reading my Mom-Me Moment. Each day he pulls up my site on his Ipad and checks out what I’m writing about. Hi William! I know you’re reading this!!

William suggested the Nissan 350Z. He says it’s a great car, and that’s the one that we should all go test drive. I checked it out. It looks like a really fun car!

However, when we talk about sexy cars, Subaru has done a great job with their latest advertising campaign! “Sexy comes Standard” according to their commercials. Have you seen them? They have ‘sexy’ sumo wrestlers on the hoods of the cars. Way to go Subaru! I think sexy now when I see your cars!

So yes ... Subarus are sexy too ... but I think for the purpose of this exercise, I want to drive a cute little sports car. So I’m off to Nissan to have some fun!

{Daily Mom-ME Moment #56} Re-living the Best Of The Best!

Hey Mommies! Happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!!

So in these final 3 weeks of summer, I’ve decided that I’m going to be re-living some of the best-of-the-best Mom-ME Moments.

 ... To tell you the truth ... I’ve given myself a couple of really big tasks on my other blog MommyBlogDesigns.com!

1. I’m writng a whole series for Mommy Bloggers with HOW TOs on Blogger (I’ll be teaching you some tips and tricks that I’ve learned on how to crack the Blogger code!!) 
2. And I’m also building a huge library of new pre-made web designs. With these 2 big projects, in addition to my blog design customers, over the next few weeks, I’m super swamped.

So ... We’ve shared some amazing moments over the past few months, and I’m excited to be re-living the BEST OF THE BEST with you over the next few weeks!  Then once things settle down over at my other blog, I'll be back to posting fresh Mom-ME Moments!  But keep tuning in, cuz I've still got great stuff planned for ya! All Queens Need A Tiara!

I think today we should all be Queens! For just a few minutes, we should all wear Tiaras!

This is the perfect way to spend our Mom-ME Moment today ...Let's pretend we're royal!

So what are you waiting for? Head on up into your daughter’s dress up box and find her prettiest tiara! Or if you don’t have any tiara’s in your house, you can just make a crown out of paper.

{Daily Mom-ME Moment #55} It's FUN Friday! Take the night off and go out for dinner!

Yeay! Another Friday is here! TGIF!! So for today ... I say all mom’s should take off their aprons and get their butts out of the kitchen. We all deserve the night off! We’re going out for dinner tonight.

Don’t get me wrong ... I love to cook. Food and cooking is a big party of my family. It always has been. Everyone in my family are such wonderful cooks. I love creating yummy things in the kitchen, and sharing them with others.

But for today ... I’m on strike! We are going out for dinner. I’m going to be waited on ... and I’m so excited for that! I’m going to eat something super yum! Oh my ... what should I have? Pasta? Maybe steak? I’m not sure yet ... it’s too early in the morning! But I can guarantee you this ... I WILL be having dessert!

Going out for dinner is a luxury for me.  We very rarely do it ... so this is special for me tonight!

{Daily Mom-ME Moment #54} Shut it all down early tonight!

Last night, many of you that I chat with and work with in the evening noticed that I was M.I.A!  Well ... I completely shut down last night.

Sleep? What is sleep? I normally don’t get any of it. My days start at 6:45. That’s when my alarm goes off and I get my butt out of bed. I do my morning chores, pack lunches, and get the kiddies up, dressed, fed, and off to camp. (Soon to change to school! Yeay!)

Then I’m here at the computer working on either my Mom-ME Moments, or designing pretty blogs for my fellow mommy bloggers. The day flies by!!! Then it’s family time for a few hours ... and after the kiddies are in bed, I’m back at the computer until 12 or 1 in the morning.

{Daily Mom-ME Moment #53} Pay a Visit to the Library Today

Wednesday is library day in my house. We’ve been going each week for the past 8 years ... ever since William could talk! They offer great programs for kids there ... and all 3 of my kids have been through them. They sing songs, do crafts, learn their ABCs and listen to lots of stories. My kids love going to the library!

I never thought I would be a library mom! Frankly ... when I was younger, I visited the library only when I had to for school projects. Other than that, it was a very unfamiliar building to me ... and certainly not somewhere that I would go to hang out.

{Daily Mom-ME Moment #52} Our Guest Poster Gets Pampered!

Yeay!  Guest Post Tuesday!  I'm thrilled to have April from Frugally Green Mom sharing with us about her recent pampering day ...

As a Mom, one of the things I find hardest to do is pamper myself. Even though my husband is constantly encouraging me to take some me time – I guess it’s a case of Mommy Guilt! A few weeks ago I got an e-mail from a spa I went to a long time ago with a “We’ve missed you” $20 off coupon! Never one to pass up a good deal and in desperate need of a haircut (It’s been over 6 months!) , I called and scheduled my Mom-ME Moment.

Daily Mom-ME Moment #51 Let's go for a Walk!

As I was driving home after dropping the kids off at camp this morning I was thinking about what I was going to write for our Daily Mom-ME Moment this morning. Unless an idea came to me earlier and I jotted it down ahead of time, this is normally the time when I ponder my Mom-ME Moments.

But after writing 50 moments already ... the ideas have started to slow down. I was getting ready to start going through some old moments and re-living some of the best ones!

And then I saw a group of ladies out walking. They had their headphones and the tunes pumping ... they were out getting some fresh air and light exercise ... their chins were up high in the air. They looked so happy, energized and refreshed.

I want that. And I want it for you too!

Let’s all walk today. Even if just around the block. Put some music on your iPod and just go out for short walk. I’m so excited!! I don’t normally go for walks ... but I’m going to today! Join me! Let’s walk ... let’s get exercise and fresh air ... and let’s feel fantastic!

Daily Mom-ME Moment #50 We made it to 50! Now it's time to RELAX!

Wow ... I can’t believe we’ve already made it to Mom-ME Moment #50! I’ve had so much fun the past few months sharing my Mom-ME Moments with you ... and I look forward to many more great times!

For today ... after 50 moments ... our moment today is to relax. It’s Friday. It’s been a busy week. We deserve a break, and we deserve a few moments to just breathe and relax.

Take a deep breathe in ... and blow it out. Ahhh. That’s wonderful.

Daily Mom-ME Moment #49 Today is Pedicure Day For All Moms! YEAY!

I wrote about a month ago about getting our toe nails done ... and I gotta tell ya ... honestly ... I haven’t done them again since then! Yikes!

I’ve been so busy with my blog ... and starting my MommyBlogDesign business, that I’ve completely neglected I’m toes. Silly me!

So ... I’ve got my big bucket of nail polish stuff out. I have my files ... and my cuticle cream ... and oodles of colors and sparkles all ready to go!

Up until a few months ago I considered myself a very anti-social person. It’s not that I wanted to be anti-social ... I just never found ways to make friends. I spent most of my time doing family things and taking care of the kids. I didn’t really get out much to do things for me. So even though I wanted friends, I was never really in situations to make new friends.

But all that changed over the past few months with my blog.  I feel like I've now made tons of new friends!  Even though we’re not face to face ... I still feel like we’re friends ... BFFs even!

I remember family vacations in our old brown Chevrolet station wagon -- the kind with bench seats, no air conditioning, and a huge ‘way back’ that was big enough for camping equipment, luggage, ice chests, fishing poles, and our Golden Retriever. As the oldest of four and desperately prone to motion sickness, I would jump at the chance to sit in the front, squeezed between my parents, directly in front of our AM radio. I always assumed that as the six of us piled in, we were all equally ready for adventure. But now that the tables have turned and I’m the parent, I have a whole new perspective.

Daily Mom-ME Moment #46 Have Some Fun! Ride a Roller Coaster!

A few weeks ago I wrote about going for a roller coaster ride ... so no ... this isn’t a new moment. But it certainly is a fun one! So I thought it would be OK to use it again.

It’s a holiday here in Canada, so we’re still weekend-ing! Plus ... we’re still celebrating hubby’s bday ... we like to stretch out the celebrations! More cake that way! lol!

We’re off today ... along with the rest of Southern Ontario I’m sure ... to Canada’s Wonderland (our local amusement park!) I can only imagine the crazy crowds that we’re going to be hanging out with today. But ... hubby the kiddies want to go ... so I’m up for it.
