Yeay! Happy Friday Mommies! It’s the weekend!! And we have a super exciting weekend in my house ... tomorrow is my Hubby’s 39th Birthday!

I can’t believe he’s going to be 39 tomorrow! Oye! Only 1 more year until the big 4-0!

Of course we have to celebrate! I’m planning a big ole’ backyard BBQ for him. We’ve got probably 25-35 people coming ... so it’ll be a decent size crowd. (I just wish everyone would confirm so I would know exactly how many are coming!)

Daily Mom-ME Moment #44 Jump! Jump! Jump!

I think I’ve mentioned before that a few weeks ago we got a trampoline. It was  difficult to get rid of our swing set ... but it was time to. Our swing set had been very well loved ... if ya know what I’m saying! With our 3 kids, and all the neighbor kids over all the time, it was well used for many years.

So ... we said good bye to the swing set, and had to replace it with something else. We debated for a while, but then finally decided on a trampoline.

Let me tell you ... if you have active kids, a trampoline is the BEST!! My kids just love it!! They will stay and jump out there for hours on end!! We’ve got a big one ... I think it’s 14 feet... and we have the net enclosure for safety. So ... all 3 kids can jump together ... and they have a blast!

July 28 Alexa Drop Hop!

Daily Mom-ME Moment #43 Let's Go To The MALL!! So FUN!!

I had the most glorious moment yesterday ... and I really wanted to share it with you for the Daily Mom-ME Moment today.

Yesterday ... without kids ... by myself ... I went to the mall! Yeay! It was beyond delightful! I haven’t been to the mall without kids in almost 9 years! I got to just wander around ... go into the stores that I wanted ... and not into the toy store! It was amazing!

And what was even better ... is that I didn’t even spend any money! I’m so proud of myself!

Daily Mom-ME Moment #42 S-T-R-E-T-C-H! A wise word from our Guest Poster!

Hey Mommies!  I'm thrilled to have Melinda from MyYearOfHugs.com on today as our Guest Poster for Guest Post Tuesday.  I love hugging ... and Melinda writes a great blog about her mission - 365 days of hugs!  Here's what Melinda has to say about her Mom-ME Moment ...

Four things I was certain of this morning: 1. Nothing good can come from waking before 5 in the morning. 2. My 17 month old will never outgrow this waking in the middle of the night/early morning phase. 3. I am crazy for agreeing to let out my neighbors dogs by 6am every morning this week. 4. I would certainly be returning to sleep after the dogs have done their business.

I was wrong. Yes, about all of them.

Daily Mom-ME Moment #41 Watch the rain :) YES! It's finally raining!!

Today is a wonderful day! For starters ... it’s Monday and the kiddies are back in camp! (Yes ... it was nice having them home for the weekend, but I've gotten totally used to the quiet at home when they're all out for the day!)

But it also a wonderful day today because it is grey, wet and raining!

Hooray! I was beginning to think it was never going to rain again! Everything was looksing so brown and dry. It was hot and nasty out.

But now it is raining. YEAY!  My flowers are looking alive and happy again! It just looks so much better outside ... even though it is grey. All the dust and dryness is being washed away.

Daily Mom-ME Moment #40 - Enough of this quiet! Let's ROCK!

I've thoroughly enjoyed the quiet in my house this week. With the kids at camp for the first time all week, I’ve had 4 days straight of no TV blasting, no kids running around arguing, and no calling MOMMY every 2 seconds.

My house has been quiet. So quiet. It’s been wonderful!

But now it’s Friday! And Fridays are supposed to be fun!

So let’s have fun! Let’s turn it up and listen to some music. OOO ... but the kids aren’t here! Know what that means? I don’t need to listen to the Wiggles or the Doodlebops! I get to listen to big kid music. Mommy music!

Daily Mom-ME Moment #39 Stay COOL! Need Ice Cream!

OMG! It’s HOT out there today! And not just a regular summer’s day hot ... but disgustingly hot today! The high today is going up to 33 ... so for my American friends that’s 91.4. BUT ... with the humidex, it’s going to feel like 46 ... which is 114!!! That’s insane!

So ... all I can think about today is STAYING COOL. And how better to stay cool than to eat ice cream! Lots of ice cream!

Well ... I guess there are other ways to stay cool ... like swimming ... drinking lots of water ... keep a wet T-shirt on ... or just stay inside in my nice air conditioned house.

But eating ice cream is so much more fun!

Well ... perhaps I’m just getting too used to having the kids at camp. I am thoroughly enjoying having my days to myself ... to be able to sit and focus on my work (wether it be taking care of the house or sitting here chatting with you on my laptop). It’s quiet. And I love it!

Having all 3 kids at camp from 8:30 ‘til 4:30 is heavenly!!

And today is an even greater day! Why? Because it’s Wednesday! Yeay! It’s cleaning lady day!

There are no words to describe how excited I am to have officialy begun this journey!  I am a Mommy Blog Designer, and it feels amazing!  I love doing it, and I'm so thrilled that so many of you have expressed an interest in my work.

Daily Mom-ME Moment #36 Breathe, Relax, and Enjoy the Quiet!

Can you hear that? Wow! What is that sound? It’s completely unfamiliar to me ... It’s truly wonderful and I wish you were here to enjoy it with me!

That sound is so strange to me. Is this what quiet sounds like?

Today is a big day for me ... and my kids. Summer camp started today, and all 3 of my kids are now at camp.

For William and Shayna, today is kind of like a regular day away from home. They’re used to being at school. But camp is WAY fun-ner (is that a word??) than school, so I’m sure they’ll have an awesome day!

But for my Baby Emily ... this is her first time away from home and me.  There were a few tears this morning, but camp just called and she’s doing great! So yeay! I think she’ll make it through the day away at camp ... and I look forward to many wonderful stories this evening!

Here’s what’s really special about today ... For the first time in nearly 9 years, I am home alone for the day.

Daily Mom-ME Moment #35 Let's Play ... Old School Style!

My kids have been off school and home now for just over 2 weeks. They’ve had tons of fun! They’ve spent most of that time outside on the trampoline ... or inside if they needed to cool off playing their favorite game ... school!

Yup ... they’re off school, and now all they want to play is school. What’s up with that? So cute! They have these workbooks and William is teaching the girls how to do math and stuff. My 6 year old now knows how to do multiplication!

But yesterday they did something different. They actually went into the basement and started going through all the old board games. Now that is something that I haven’t seen in years! A board game. Does anyone play those anymore?

I love to read magazines. They come in as many topics as you can imagine! Everything from celebrities to fashion, cooking, home improvement, and travel, to cars ... and so much more. Yup ... I love magazines!

Even my kids get their own kids magazines ... ChickaDee and Owl. They’re awesome! They’re filled with activities and cartoons. Great for summer activities to keep the kids reading!

I love to read Town & Country. I love looking at the gorgeous jewelry ads and reading about all the sophisticated socialites! So fun! I also love reading Martha Stewart for the seasonal crafting ideas. (Martha Stewart’s Halloween issue ROCKS every year!!)

I love to cook. I love to create yummy things and play around in my kitchen. But ... I find that it takes time that I don’t always have ... so I normally end up making the same things.

I love Ro’s idea of creating a daily “Mom-Me Moment.” I cannot stress enough, the importance of making time for you! As mothers, we give everything we have to take the best care of our most precious possessions, our children. However, to be the best moms we can, we must take care of ourselves as well. It is hard to find the time to relax and re-group after a trying day, but even the smallest things can make the biggest impact! I like to make sure I take care of myself on every level: mind, body and spirit! Now this is a new development for me, so I still find it to be a struggle to do all three.

First of all .. I can’t believe it’s Friday already. This week flew by!!! But also, I can’t believe we’re already at Mom-ME Moment #30! It’s been so much fun sharing these moments with you! And I’ve still got tons more to share ... So keep tuning in.

I’ve been hearing so much this past year about the latest exercise craze ... Zumba. Have you tried it? I haven’t. But I’ve so wanted to. And I decided that today’s the day!
